BUILDING AN INNINGS – A FOUNDATION FOR MUNSTER CRICKET

This plan sets out a strategic roadmap for the growth and development of Munster Cricket in a sustainable way over the next 4 years. The plan has been developed with the assistance of delegates from clubs across the province as part of a series of review meetings carried out in 2013.

Following the publication of a draft version, each club has since provided detailed feedback to the planning group and this is reflected in this final version. The feedback recommended different levels of stretch or ambition in the strategic area highlighted within the plan – with some suggesting pushing harder others cautioning on what can be realistically achieved.

However, the most encouraging aspect of this process is that there is unanimous support across the clubs for supporting this plan and a real commitment to implementing the themes outlined within as best as possible. As with any plan it will live or die based on our ability to deliver it and this journey will not be a straight road. There will be bumps on the way and at times we may need to take alternative routes to arrive at our final destination. But in setting out on that journey we now know where we are trying to go.

This creates a platform for the game in Munster to build with the collective support of the clubs and in so doing establish cricket on a stronger footing within the province. Working together we are all committed to achieving that as an exciting outcome.
