Senior Cup Final rescheduled for 31st August

The 2019 Senior Cup Final between County Kerry and Cork County has been rescheduled for Saturday, 31st August, at the Mardyke following the postponement of the original fixture on the 4th August.

Having won the toss, Cork County captain Robert Duggan opted to put Kerry in to bat first and despite some early economical bowling from the Cork side, County Kerry reached 93-2 at drinks with Awais Saghir and Qassim Butt commendable resistance and application.

After the drinks break, County quickly removed both batsmen and soon piled the pressure on the middle and lower order before the forecast rain arrived to put a halt to proceedings with County Kerry on 168-9 after 46.2 overs.

With no more play possible, both sides will meet again on Saturday, 31st August, at the Mardyke.
