The Munster Reds squad had their first training session of 2017 last Sunday, 8th January, in the fantastic surroundings of the Urban Cricket Ireland training facility in Dublin. A terrific venue, run by some renowned international cricketers including Ed Joyce, Kevin O'Brien, and Kenny Carroll.
The three-hour session began with some "gentle" warm-up exercises and then came the stamina-testing aerobics, perfect to get the lads back into action after the excesses of the recent festivitie season! Head coach Andy Wooton and Kenny Carroll, who recently declared for Munster really put the lads through their paces and ensured everyone gave a 100%, which of course they did. A truly great opening session by all.
The next official Reds training will take place on 22nd January at the Urban Cricket centre as preparations continue for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
