Munster Derby in National Cup quarter-final
The Oyster Oval plays host to an excting Munster derby

An all-Munster clash is the headline of the draw for the Clear Currency Irish National Cup quarter-final, as Westeners Co Kerry and Co Galway will do battle at the Oyster Oval on Sunday 15th July.

It's sure to be a tight provincial derby, with 2016's Senior Cup winners Galway proving their ability to mix it as this level once again, qualifying directly to the quarter-final, having beaten Hollywood in the second round after a bye in the first.

County Kerry meanwhile will finally look to get to the penultimate stage of the competition, playing in their third consecutive National Cup quarter-final, having beaten Ballaghaderreen in the first round before sneaking past DLR County last time around.

It certainly adds spice to the two sides' meeting this Sunday afternoon in the All Rounder Cricket Munster Premier Division, as 4th placed Kerry host 5th placed Galway, looking for revenge after defeat on the opening day of the season.

Limerick are also wise-heads at the quarter-final stage, and will be looking to break that ceiling themselves when they face County Meath's Knockharley CC.

Knockharley defeated Midleton in the first round of the competition, but this time play host to a Limerick side who beat Galway in the quarter-final of the Munster Senior Cup.
