Munster Cricket are pleased to announce the appointment of two independent directors to serve on its Executive Board.Catherina Lane and Christine Moloney will bring extensive commercial and sporting knowledge and expertise to assist the Board drive forward the development of Cricket in Munster.
Catherina has represented Ireland in both Basketball and Rowing and has more recently being involved in Triathalon. She has delivered development programmes across a number of sports. She has worked for the past 20 years in the logistics area for Musgraves in Cork.
Christine is the Chief Executive Officer of Leisureworld in Cork and brings extensive experience to the Munster Board in the areas of Governance, Strategic Planning and Risk Management.

The Board is currently putting in place a Commercial Committee and Clubs Committee. The Chairpersons of these committees will join the Board in due course.
The business of the meeting mainly focussed on providing briefings to the directors on current plans and issues including budget and financial matters, facility development and other development plans. Joe O’Mahony, on behalf of the Operations committee updated the meeting in relation to fixture making for the 2020 season which is impacted by both the increase in the number of teams involved and some ground availability issues.
To align with Cricket Ireland Strategic Planning, the Board also agreed to prepare the next Munster Cricket Strategic Plan to cover the period 2021 to 2023. The following working group was appointed to advance this process
