Curtis Campher joins Ireland Wolves tour after COVID impact

Irish international Curtis Campher has been called up to the Ireland Wolves tour to Namibia after three players test positive for COVID-19 on the eve of the squad’s departure.

The squad departed this morning after several last-minute decisions had to be made about the squad composition in the light of three players testing positive during their last round of pre-departure tests

The key decisions made were:

Ross Adair has had to withdraw from the tour, with Curtis Campher called up to join the squad;
Ruhan Pretorius was called up as cover as well, but after testing positive he will have a delayed departure date and join the squad prior to the 50-over matches; and
Fionn Hand will also have a delayed departure date and join the squad prior to the 50-over matches.

Munster Cricket General Manager had the following to say on the inclusion Munster Reds star Curtis Campher:

"Delighted to see so many Munster Reds players on the plane to show what they can do! All their hard work has paid off and hopefully just a stepping stone in their careers."
